December Book Haul + IPHONE

Book Hauling Time!!!
A thing you should know is that my family doesn’t do Christmas Presents. We do the tree and everything but minus the presents. I know, it is very sad….. But that doesn’t mean I stop buying books!!!!
I also got my very first iPhone!!!! It was my cousins but it’s like brand new to me.

I ordered these two babies just before December on Bookworld before they started charging on shipping. I saw my chance and I took it!

Just before Christmas, I went to Kinokuniya for the first time! That place is HUGE!!! It was crowded and there was a huge line for the checkout. I’d never seen this many people lining up at a bookstore! The place is much more expensive then Dymocks (I thought that wasn’t possible) but I couldn’t help myself. I bought Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld mostly because it was signed!!!! And also, My True Love Gave to Me because it was almost Christmas and the hardcover was beautiful!

On that same day, I also went to Kmart, saw Black Ice for $12 and thought; why not?

These were essential buys because they’re my English texts next year. If you can notice my little bookmark hanging out of Animal Farm, I’m a bit into it but I just keep getting distracted by other books. I still have to buy The Happiest Refugee by Anh Do.

From Simon and Schuster, I got my very first ARC copy and it was I Was Here by Gayle Forman. I love what they did with the words in the shape of a speech bubble! I was lucky to receive this as part of the Aussie YA Bloggers.

  1. Such a great haul! I thought Animal Farm was an excellent read. My True Love Gave to Me has such a pretty cover, it makes me want to buy it just for that reason. Have fun with your iPhone!

  2. First, WOAH, your blog is amazing! I look forward to seeing many of your posts. And, second, that is one beautiful book haul. I have only read ”Black Ice” from your list but enjoyed it. And definitely want to try ”The Fifth Wave” even though I think it’s sci-fi and that is not really my genre. Too much praising, there’s so much I can resist 😉

    1. Thanks so much for being here! The 5th Wave is a great books, it’s intense but I think it was sorely over-hyped. I’m really excited for the movie. This is probably one book, I wouldn’t mind turned into a movie!

  3. Congrats on getting that ARC! I hope you enjoy reading it! I very almost picked up The Fifth Wave and Afterworlds in a bookstore but I switched them out for some others instead xD Hopefully after seeing your reviews up I might change my mind? Looks like you got some good reads here!

  5. I’ve heard Kinokuniya is huge, but I’ve never been there myself, I hope to get to it one day. You’ve got some great books there. It’s cool that you got a signed copy of Afterworlds. It’s always nice when you can buy a signed copy since we don’t get a lot of author signings here in Australia – at least I don’t where I live.
